Creamy salmon pasta

I can hardly believe I somehow found some time in the day to make dinner and take a couple of photos. Picking up my camera to photograph this yummy salmon pasta made me realize just how rusty I am with an actual camera. Aside from turning it on, I could hardly remember how to use it – that’s how long it’s been since I’ve picked it up. While I can’t even use the camera I own, I’m already itching for a new one. But I think I’ll see how far I get in my cooking adventures before doing that.

Lately when and if I do cook, it’s definitely not going to be photographed which means it certainly won’t show up here. When I find time to cook, I usually make the same thing over and over again. Life with a toddler (is she considered a toddler now?) means less time in the kitchen.

To be completely honest, this salmon pasta is similar to this crowd-pleaser. It’s the same but different. Surely, that makes sense, right?

Let’s make it: creamy salmon pasta

Now you didn’t think I made dinner, photographed said dinner AND developed this recipe, did you? Because I did not. In addition to testing and creating recipes I do enjoy testing other people’s recipes and sharing my experience with you all – so you can go support the creator too.

That’s what happened here. As much as I’d love for you to think I created this recipe, I did not but you can find the original here, on The Kitchn. The salmon pasta is pretty easy and honestly, it tasted even more delicious the next day.

A few notes:

  • I added a pinch of red pepper flakes because everything is delicious with a hint of spice.
  • I didn’t add the entire amount of lemon juice. I found that just a splash sufficed.
  • Don’t worry if your sauce seems a little runny. When you add the noodles. It’ll even out and thicken up.
  • Linguine noodles work great and I think spaghetti noodles will work too. If you’re feeling fancy, try pappardelle.

Now, off you go to make this yummy creamy salmon pasta on your own. Let me know when you make it.
