Strawberry Chipotle Brussels Sprouts

Jump to recipe

Hello. My name is Shawanda and I’m obsessed with roasting Brussels sprouts. Yep, I’m back at it again with another sprouts recipe. I giggle to myself every time I post Brussels sprouts on my Instagram Story. I feel like every few weeks I’m experimenting with new ways to enjoy my newfound favorite veggie. Today’s recipe for roasted Brussels sprouts is flavored with strawberry chipotle from one of our favorite jam companies, Trade Street Jam Co.

Trade Street Jam Co. is a black owned company who has lots of unique jam flavors. If you like jam, I’d highly recommend you buy some to try. You’ll find flavors like smoked yellow peach, spicy vanilla kiwi and blueberry lemon basil (sounds good, right?). All of their jams are handmade and made in small batches. I can’t rave about it enough. The best part is that their jams can be easily integrated into your breakfast items OR they’re delish enough to experiment with dinner items too (duh, like roasted Brussels sprouts).

I think one of my life’s goals is going to be to discover how many ways I can make yummy roasted Brussels sprouts. Doesn’t that sound fun? If you’re reading this and you’re not a lover of sprouts, I promise you I wasn’t either at one point. Then I discovered that Brussels sprouts are versatile and when you roast them, they’re delicious. Try these sprouts recipes first: maple roasted, balsamic roasted or cheesy sprouts gratin.

If you’re still boiling Brussels sprouts (gross), you’re definitely doing it wrong. I can almost guarantee that’s the reason why your family doesn’t eat them. If you’re interested in finding more enjoyable ways to enjoy sprouts, trust me when I say: THIS IS IT.

Though, I can’t rave enough about Trade Street Jam Co., I realize you may already have some jam in your fridge. And before you ask, yes, you can use that jam. Whatever jam you may have on hand, feel free to sub that for the strawberry chipotle jam (but just go buy some trade Street Jam Co.). I’d imagine though, these would be good with a pepper jelly or some other sweet spicy combo.

My favorite part of roasted Brussels sprouts are those little charred bits that appear. Those contain all of the flavor and make the entire dish worth it. Let’s get these sprouts.
