As I type this, I’m so tired but in a good way. This was a jam-packed weekend full of errands, brunch (duh) and a day trip with John and his parents. So when I say that I’m tired, it’s from all of the running around I’ve done. But there’s some motivation to getting this week started: we’re headed to Portland soon and I CAN’T WAIT.

This weekend I met a couple of friends for brunch, did a little shopping (no this does not fit into my low spending plan but it was necessary) and hung out here with my in-laws (plus more shopping with them). The weather for this weekend started out quite rainy but Sunday was beautiful and perfect for our apple themed day.

Oh! I started (finally) reading the book, Americanah. I’ve heard so many great things about it and it’s been on my ‘to read’ list forever. Reading two books (that are not cookbooks) is something on my 34×34 list so, here’s to getting that done!
