Ok, so, this isn’t going how I hoped. I’m not even going into the full day by day recap because I stopped its boring. Anyway, I started this week – despite my minor hiccup last week – with high hopes of finishing strong. I took my lunch to work everyday except for Friday, which was OK because I still had spending money that I could use for lunch – no problem. However, with a trip coming up soon, I knew that I needed to make a couple of purchases. Not even for this trip but because it’s a new season and new seasons mean, I need new wardrobe items. I’ll get rid of some old stuf to make room for the new stuff. Everyone does that right?
Anyway, this week I learned a few things. I learned that even though I only did three weeks of this, it taught me that I DO care about how my money is spent on a weekly basis and I do want to be more thoughtful in how I spend it. Sure dinners out and a little shopping is not ideal on a daily basis but as long as bills are paid, money is saved, I will continue to treat myself…on a responsible basis.
Soon I’ll be sharing a few tips for “frugal frolicking” because this wasn’t an experiment to just see if I could do it, it was to see if I could do it but also to pick up some useful tips that I can implement in my daily life.
Stay tuned for those tips!
