New year, new adventures!

I love New Orleans and I have to be honest, I didn’t think I would like it at first.  My hair was always frizzy, the air was heavy and thick but after a few tries, I fell in love with this city. The food is always delicious, the drinks are even better and there’s always some type of party happening, even if it’s on a random Tuesday.  The city of New Orleans has a festive attitude and I love it.  I’m heading to New Orleans for a weekend getaway and I’m so excited to eat, drink and frolic.  While preparing for this trip, I couldn’t help but think of all of things that inspire me when traveling to New Orleans.

For one, the architecture.  New Orleans is a beautiful city and I always love looking at the homes and buildings.

Po’ Boys – need I say more?  I’ve heard a lot about Parkway Po Boys, maybe we’ll get to try.

Music…New Orleans definitely dances to their own beat.

The weather may be nice but the humidity always wins so a fashionable hat is definitely on the packing list.

I can’t help but always Think of Commander’s Palace when dreaming of New Orleans. (25cents martini lunch!)

Beignets – I can never visit New Orleans without having a warm, sugary beignet.  So good.

Lots of walking so a cute (and somewhat comfortable) pair of booties were definitely inspirational and on the list for this trip.

Lastly, you can’t help but think of Bourbon Street when traveling to NO. It’s not always by cup of tea but it sure is fun.
