So yesterday I decided to finally take a visit to the Main Street Farmer’s Market here in Chattanooga. I knew I wanted to stop by and pick up some fresh, local apples but I didn’t have my camera with me since I wasn’t planning on writing about it. That all changed when I arrived. I was so impressed by all that MSFM offered, I couldn’t help but pull out my iPhone and snap a few photos. It was so hot outside but it was so nice to see so many people out supporting local farms. The best thing about this market is that it happens all year. There was even a nice folk/bluegrass band playing. I’m in love.
We walked away with a couple of apples and two bunches of basil; one bunch was lemon basil. LEMON BASIL. I couldn’t wait to try it out so I cooked with it when I got home – will share the pasta recipe tomorrow.
Lemon basil. Ok, I’m done.
