The Weekend: Chattanooga Burger Battle

Another action-packed weekend. By action-packed I mean it was full of eating, drinking and obviously frolicking.  Saturday was the first Chattanooga Burger Battle where some of Chattanooga’s best restaurants competed for the top burger honor.  I was overjoyed when I heard about the Burger Battle – fantastic idea and most of all, it’s not just about getting people together to eat burgers; it’s a fundraiser.  All of the funds from the Chattanooga Burger Battle go towards the Forgotten Child Fund – a charity that helps local children not have to go without Christmas. For more information on the Burger Battle and how to give to the Forgotten Child Fund, visit the Battle’s website.

And the winners are:

Tremont Tavern: Classic Burger Winner

Honest Pint: Favorite Burger Winner

Armando’s: Best Extreme Burger

Even with a busy weekend of tasting burgers, I still (somehow) found time to fit in some other stuff:

I went to a movie, had food and drinks at Blacksmith’s, which was also one of the competing restaurants in the Burger Battle and found some time to infuse a little whiskey with blackberries and mint – can’t wait to make a cocktail with it.  My weekends are never complete without a trip to Enzo’s Market to pickup some beignets and coffee.  I was gifted a few super-cute Parisian themed notecards and I tried a new beer; wasn’t too bad.

Not too much to complain about this weekend.  Happy monday!
