Product Review: Kettle Jalapeno Jack Chips

I love snacking and I love trying out new foods to snack on.  Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy sticking to my usual snack suspects (Cheez-its, Haagen Dazs ice cream, Ritz crackers – the list goes on) but it’s something about trying out a product for the first time or seeing the word “NEW” on a package that excites me.  A few weeks ago, I was walking around Whole Foods and noticed that the Kettle Brand was celebrating their 30th birthday by supplying hungry snackers like me a few limited batch chip flavors. I saw the jalapeño jack flavor and was immediately sold.

So…I liked them.  Not my favorite chip but definitely not my least favorite. Keep in mind, I like things spicy so I was a little disappointed in the lack of spice.  Someone else trying the chip for the first who’s not a huge lover of spicy would probably differ with me.  There was a bit of heat that hit you after eating a few chips (and I did eat a lot of them back to back).  The chips were flavored well, I just needed a little *extra* heat; but then again, I’m a rare breed and I enjoy spicy foods.

Have you tried any of the limited batch flavors?  Tell me what you think!
