My most recommended sparkling water brands

I sort of feel like I have a lot to explain with this blog post. Where shall I start?

Let’s start here: A couple of months ago, I posted on my Instagram stories that I was looking for recommendations for the best sparkling water brands. The opinions came rolling in and I was ecstatic. I decided that I would take this information and taste all of the brands recommended and report back. That decision was met with support and excitement (both from me and my followers). So off I went to do the hard work of sampling my most recommended sparkling water brands.

Here’s the thing with this plan, though: I don’t like sparkling water. But it’s OK because this new assignment will allow me to fall in love with sparkling water (allegedly) and I’ll finally find one that I love. Well…here’s another problem. Trying to find single servings of all of these brands was almost impossible. And if I’m being honest, I really had no desire to invest lots of dollars in cases upon cases of sparkling water I may or may not like. Here we go again. So, let’s take a step back. How can I taste a variety of sparkling waters AND attempt to report back to you guys? REEVALUATE.

I took a step back and looked at the most recommended sparkling water brands shared with me on Instagram. That’s it! Let’s try those. No additional stress (or money) spent on investing in cases of random sparkling waters. Yeah, I can do this.

My most recommended sparkling water brands

Lots of brands were suggested to me: Waterloo, Deer Park, Topo Chico, San Pellegrino – and a bunch of other ones I’d never heard of. But the most recommended to me were sparkling water brands that didn’t surprise me at all. They were:

These are clearly crowd favorites so I had no choice than to sample them. Lucky for you, if you’re an anti sparkling water person like me, I’ve tried my best to sum up my opinions about my most recommended sparkling water brands. Ready?

*one more thing to note: I tried the same fruit flavor in all three of these sparkling waters to really be able to compare

BUBLY

First, I’m going to state the obvious: the branding of Bubly is so good. The can is adorable and simply based on that, it was already number one in my book. All of their flavors are represented so well in the different cans and it’s really cute. Second, the flavor: At first sip, the mango flavor was pretty prevalent. It isn’t terrible given that it’s a no calories/no sweetener beverage.

LA CROIX

Everyone drinks La Croix and I do not understand why. Here are my exact notes from tasting it this time around: “Flavor not as noticeable. Not as disgusting as I remember.” So there you have it. Still not my favorite.

SPINDRIFT

This was an *orange mango* flavor not just mango. The first thing I noticed about Spindrift was the color! The color clearly reflects its on a whole other level than the other waters (in a good way). Spindrift is made with ‘real squeezed fruit’. Hands down, Spindrift’s fruit flavor was more prevalent than the others.

VERDICT

I’ll admit, I’m still not a fan of sparkling waters BUT I’m interested in trying other Spindrift flavors. So there you have it. Still not a real fan but I’ll sip it if I have to. What are your favorite sparkling water brands?
