We all have ‘those songs’ that we can listen to on repeat and never tire of hearing. There are certain songs that are released and they instantly remind me of summertime. Do you ever have that feeling? Some are newly released songs others are classics that will probably never go anywhere in my book (hello, “Summertime” by DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince). With the start of summer officially here, I thought now would be a good time to share some summer songs that are keeping me in a groove.

When I say summertime, I mean songs that really exude the essence of summer. Songs that already have summer memories attached to them, songs that transport me to a pool or a beach or songs that remind me of a hot summer BBQ. You get where I’m going with this?

A summertime jam just hits differently than one that doesn’t have that summer vibe. Please tell me you understand what I’m saying.
