Easy Appetizer: Baked Goat Cheese

Jump to recipe

This time last year, I started another blog. I had a brilliant idea and I was so excited about it. John encouraged me to get the domain name and so I did. Off I went to launch Hostess With Mimosas. I’m still in love with the name and the idea but life happened and guess what? I became ‘too busy’ to keep it updated. Truthfully, this recipe for baked goat cheese was supposed to appear on Hostess With Mimosas in May. Whoops.

Hostess With Mimosas is still a thing. I’m not quite ready to let go of the idea yet. In fact, the domain name just renewed not too long ago. I feel like there’s something there so when I have the time and space to explore it, I’m sure I’ll revisit it. In the meantime, some of the content I created for that site, I’ll share here if it fits. It took me a while to recognize and be OK with the fact that I started something then let I it fall by the wayside.

The reason why I started a new blog, besides the play on words, was because I love parties. I love brainstorming ideas, coming up with recipes and helping people create the best events. Whether that’s coming up with cocktail ideas or suggesting products to help ease party hosting duties, I love it all. Don’t be surprised if you see this baked goat cheese again on Hostess With Mimosas.

Easy appetizer: baked goat cheese

Have you ever tried baked goat cheese? It’s so delicious and ridiculously easy. What’s even better is all of the accoutrements you can serve along with the cheese. From warm pita bread to fresh apple slices, the choice is yours – go wild.

Shocker: there’s no real recipe here but I promise, you don’t need one. Even though you don’t need a recipe, you do need to serve this appetizer immediately. Your guests (and probably you too) will be hovering around the cheese. My favorite part of this recipe is pulling the cheese out of the oven because it just sizzles and bubbles. Sort of like those fajita plates you get at Applebee’s or Chili’s. Don’t frown – you know exactly what I’m talking about.
