It’s been a busy time. Usually when things are really busy, I don’t do a good enough job of taking care of myself. I eat junk food, I’m definitely not working out and I probably don’t get as much rest as I should. I know I’m not alone with this. I’m actively trying to do a better job at listening to my body and knowing when I need to chill but sometimes it gets hard when you *think* you’re too busy. We’re never really too busy. One day, during a non-busy time, I made a charcoal detox tonic. It’s a little weird but I liked it.
I recently told John that we needed to start working out. We used to go to the gym 2-3 times a week plus taking walks around our neighborhood. Then we stopped. We stopped because life happens but then you know who ruptured his achilles so that definitely didn’t help. So anyway, here we are again. Ready to get in shape and ready to get into some type of workout routine. This detox tonic isn’t going to heal anything but it makes me feel like I’m a little healthy.
Be careful with activated charcoal, though. It’s not something I consume all of the time so I’d suggest doing your research before experimenting with it.
An easy detox tonic (with activated charcoal)
There’s a blend of mint and cucumber in this tonic but if that’s not what you’re into, like I always say: you can use whatever herbs, fruits or veggies you like. Hopefully I’ll keep drinking these detox beverages and it will encourage both me and John to head to the gym.
We shall see.
