Super Bowl weekend. I watched most of the game though I am not a fan of either team. I did pick a team to root for (in order to make the evening somewhat enjoyable) and the team I picked lost. Boo. I like football but for me, it’s much more enjoyable when your team is playing…otherwise, I could care less. The commercials were OK; my favorite was the Katie Couric and Bryant Gumbel – I love them. And the halftime show was definitely more enjoyable with Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott.

Enough about the Super Bowl. The rest of the weekend was relatively quiet.  John and I had dinner together Friday night and Saturday night I headed to dinner and drinks with my lady friends. Overall a good weekend but as usual, I’m not ready to tackle this work week but it’s here so…I might as well go with it.

Ok – let me explain this picture. I rarely do the whole selfie thing but I was sent a mysterious mascara from PopSugar and Sephora and this was day 2 of wearing it and I love! The brand of the mascara will be announced at some point today and I can’t wait. This last photo is how we spent Sunday watching the Super Bowl.  We went to my soon-to-be in-laws and watched the first half of the game. We sipped a little coffee and I indulged in a cookie…or two. Eeeek! John and I also kicked our weekend into high gear with fresh juice shots at a local juice shop, Local Juice. I had pure ginger and it definitely added a jolt to my soul.
