Well, it’s Christmas Eve (eeek!) and I’m more than ready to get this Christmas vacation started! Remember the days of going to school then having a crazy long holiday break? Back then, I took having that long of a break for granted. Now, as an adult, I welcome it…with absolute open arms! I’m looking forward to a relaxed few days off and finally not being on the road for a holiday. I’ll be hanging out at home, on my couch and hopefully crossing off a few things off of my wedding to do list. We’re also prepping to go to New Orleans in a little over a week and I cannot wait!
I know it’s the day before Christmas and homemade gifts might be a little out of the question but these cranberries would be great jarred and gifted to someone in your life. They’re also great as garnishes for cocktails!
I got this idea from Kleinworth & Co. and thought I could easily make these before the holiday. You’ll need to prep the berries overnight but other than that, it’s all easy peasy.
It’s as simple as making a simple syrup, letting the berries soak in the syrup (once it has cooled) and allowing it to sit overnight. The next day, pat them dry and roll them around in sugar. Boom.
I’m taking a mini-vacay from the blog but I’ll be back on Monday with a holiday weekend recap!
Merry Christmas!
