I love long weekends. This one was especially nice because John and I stayed in town and decided to have a fantastic stay-cation, which included lots of (unhealthy) foods, drinks, visiting friends and a little sun. I spent a bit of the weekend planning for our short trip to Boston at the end of the month and preparing for a visit from some friends in a couple of weeks. Like any weekend, I *try* and mark a few things off of my to-do list but with long weekends especially, I like to fit in some extra errands or tasks that I normally don’t have time to do during the week. I know, I should be relaxing during the long weekends but I can’t help myself sometimes. The rest of our weekends in July are jammed packed of events, visits, parties and everything else in between. I’m sure I’ll be longing for another long weekend pretty soon.
If you’re wondering about the kiddie pools…some of our friends had a ‘kiddie pool party’ and we had a great time; a bunch of adults playing around in a tiny pool…awesome. I ended the weekend by trying to be somewhat healthy and getting some freshly made juice from the newly opened Grocery Bar here in town. Hopefully the healthy trend will continue through the week…we’ll see.
Happy Monday!
