Good grief. What a weekend. I feel like I’m still recovering. John and I took a quick trip to Murfreesboro, Tennessee with his parents to visit some family and have brunch and Friday night I tried to stay dry and dodge the rain while running errands with my friend Jennifer. We spent our Friday night prepping veggies for our 5 gallon chili we cooked Saturday morning for Chattanooga’s Mainx24 festival. Yes, 5 gallons. I’m pretty sure we lost our minds somewhere while we were running errands. We started chopping all of the veggies only to be reminded that there was a food processor we could use instead. Ahhhhh! We were exhausted to say the least. All in all, it was a great, cold and tiring weekend but fun.
The chili cook off was lots of fun but so cold! I feel like it took me hours to get warm again. Our tent had a Breaking Bad theme not to mention our chili was pretty delicious if I must say so myself. We debuted what we’ve been working so diligently on the past few months…The Chattery! We’re still working behind the scenes to actually launch but it felt nice to tell people that we’re *almost* here. As if cooking chili for 8 hours wasn’t enough, we went to the Glow 2.0 afterparty and danced for a bit. Fun times, but I paid for it on Sunday. Good times.
Happy Monday!
It sounds like you had such a fun weekend despite the rain and cold weather!
