Holiday Gift Idea: Plated

This is awesome.  Ready to cook meals delivered to your door.  I’m not joking.  Here’s how this works: first you’ll need to visit the Plated site (website at the end of this post) and take a look at the chef and menus being featured.  They feature different top chefs, which adds a little variety to the different menus being offered.  You’ll choose the menu you prefer and how many people you’d like to serve and Plated will send you all of the ingredients. They send you fresh ingredients and enough for the recipe; no need to follow annoying measurements.  How beautiful is that!? Plated encourages everyone to ‘unleash your inner chef’ and with cooking (and grocery shopping) made so easy, even the person who doesn’t like to cook would enjoy this service.  I’m in love.

Let me just give you a little example of what’s on the Plated menu this week:

Flank Steak with Escarole and Marcona Almond Salad:

Another option – Sweet Potato-Ricotta Ravioli with Brown Sage Butter

Looks intimidating, I know, but with the exact measurements sent to you and with Plated’s detailed instructions, you’re bound to impress guests…or yourself!

Plated has membership prices but the beautiful thing about this dinner service is that you can try it without being a member.  Memberships are $10 a month and plates are $12 per plate.  Non-membership prices are $15 per plate.  Plated is the perfect gift for the busy person in your life who’s not too fond of grocery shopping but enjoys cooking or for someone who just loves to cook.  If any of my friends are reading this: I will not be upset if this ended up on my doorstep.
