The Weekend

I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is in just a few days; this year is just flying by.  Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday.  I seem to enjoy Thanksgiving just a bit more than the other holidays obviously for food reasons but also it always just seems more of a laid back holiday.  No gifts to exchange, no decorations to put away – just food, fellowship and being thankful.  I’m so used to having a “Friendsgiving” but since moving to Tennessee, I haven’t had to cook Thanksgiving dinner and I miss that element of Thanksgiving.  I miss planning a menu, inviting friends over and finding a thanksgiving themed cocktail to serve.  Hopefully, in the coming years I can reinstate my Friendsgivings and all will be right in the world.  John and I are leaving for Virginia soon and I feel like I have a million things to do before then.  Majority of my weekend was spent in a coffee shop working on a project while the other half was spent at at Thanksgiving themed party full of whiskey and mini pumpkin pies.  Great way to spend time before everyone heads in their own directions for the holiday.

I got a lovely treat in the mail from my friends at PopSugar – so glad to be a part of that blog community. How did we end the weekend?  Eating pizza at my favorite local pizza place, Lupi’s.  Delicious.

Happy Monday!
