An Autumn Cider

Autumn is well under way and even though it may not be my favorite season, fall is a fantastic season for drinking.  So many flavors to work with from apple to cinnamon and of course the popular (or infamous) pumpkin. So for this cocktail, I wanted to blend a couple of my favorite flavors together and see if I could come up with something that not only tasted like fall but smelled like fall too…and it’s easy!  As much as I love a good cocktail, I also enjoy a delicious non-complicated cocktail that doesn’t take all day and with three major ingredients, this fits the bill.

Autumn Cider
1oz Spiced Rum
1oz Woodchuck Cider
3 or 4oz Apple Cider
ice
dash of cinnamon & brown sugar
apple slice for garnish (optional)

Add rum, Woodchuck and apple cider in a cocktail mixer (or chilled glass) and add ice.  Stir (or shake) until combined.  Add to a glass and mix in a dash of cinnamon and brown sugar.

Add an apple slice for garnish and enjoy!

Happy Fall!
