When John and I went to Huntsville couple weekends ago, my friend Natalie gave me a super easy recipe for Asian turkey burgers. When I read the recipe I was excited and bit intrigued since the recipe had very few ingredients. Honestly, I was little scared that I would have to add my own seasonings. I was definitely wrong. This was one of the most flavorful and tasty recipes I’ve made in a while. We’re definitely adding this to our weekly dinner menu.
I did alter the recipe a little bit. The original calls for wasabi mayo; I like wasabi but not mayo. I did my own thing for a condiment: sriracha ketchup. Seriously, try this now.
Asian turkey burgers
1 lb. ground turkey
1/4 cup green onions – chopped
1/4 cup fresh cilantro – chopped
1/2 tsp. fresh ginger – minced
1 garlic clove – minced
dash of soy sauce
dash hot sauce ( I used sriracha)
sriracha mixed with ketchup for serving
spicy brown mustard
4 toasted buns
*add cheese if you like. I added provolone. Not very Asian-like, but it was delicious.
- Mix ground turkey with green onions, cilantro, ginger, garlic, soy sauce and hot sauce.
- Grill
- Serve on toasted buns
- DELISH!
