Currently, John and I do not own our home but we absolutely love the location of where we live. Location is everything, so “they” say, and we haven’t been eager to make any moves elsewhere quite yet. Even though the location of our place is great, our kitchen…not so much. We have a decent size kitchen but they have not so beautiful green countertops. Those counters are not my favorite and are the bane of my existence. Anyway, John knows that I’ve been keeping a Pinterest board of ideas for our dream kitchen so whenever we decide to purchase a home, I’m ready.
I go back and forth with the style of kitchen that I like. Sometimes, I feel modern and other days I feel like a traditional kitchen will be just fine. Even though my mind wanders, the one thing I know for sure is that my dream kitchen has to have lots of light; I think I’ll know it when I see it. I always tell John that the kitchen is where the heart and soul of a house is and when we go look for houses, if the kitchen doesn’t speak to me, we’re moving on. Maybe that sounds dramatic but I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and we plan on entertaining for holidays and such so, having a nice kitchen is mandatory.
