Apparently, I bake now.  Like I mentioned here, I don’t really bake because I don’t have an absolute love for it but this project…I loved!  I originally got the idea from watching Kelsey Nixon on the Cooking Channel and thought I would give it try.  This is the perfect idea for a gift giveaway or a great alternative if you don’t want to make an entire pie!  Kelsey’s version was a cherry pie, I decided to do blackberry instead.

I made a cinnamon compound butter to spread inside the jar.  I had leftover dough so I decided to head back to the store to pick up some pears and made mini pear pies.  Pretty darn good, if I must say so myself.
