Sound the alarm! I have *finally* written an updated Chattanooga happy hour guide and I’m just so excited it’s finally done. If you’re a regular here, you already know that I love a good cocktail and you also know that this happy hour guide was a yearly tradition until…well, 2019. 2019 was the last time I wrote an updated guide and perhaps you can guess why it stopped after that. In case you’re in the dark, I’ll spell it out:
- I got pregnant in 2019
- The world shut down promptly after in 2020
Quite honestly, it didn’t feel necessary to author a happy hour guide and I certainly didn’t have the time. But now that I’m slowly coming to the surface and summertime is here, it seems like an appropriate time to re-publish my guide to happy hour in Chattanooga, right?

What hasn’t changed since I last updated this guide is my disclaimer: this is a list of my favorite places to grab a drink for happy hour. There are tons of places in Chattanooga that offer drink specials but these are places that I’ve discovered or my friends have tipped me off to.
If your favorite bar is missing, let me know and perhaps I’ll check it out to include it for next year. In fact, I’ve made it easier for you to suggest a place by creating a Google Form! This way, I can easily keep up with the bars and restaurants you suggest.

Happy hour in Chattanooga – where to go?
In the guide, you’ll find a variety of places. While it’s mostly happy hours that involve adult beverages, I have included a couple of specials that don’t involve alcohol (hello cookie happy hour).
