Thanksgiving has come and gone and now the countdown to Christmas is on – I’m definitely not ready for Christmas. John and I went to Virginia for the Thanksgiving holiday and quite honestly, I didn’t take a lot of pictures. I spent most of my time home eating and attempting to visit friends and family. On the way to Virginia, we made an overnight pitstop in Asheville and it snowed! Anyone who knows me is well aware of my hatred of cold weather…especially snow. Nevertheless, we had a lovely (exhausting) weekend and now we’re gearing up for Christmas but I’m secretly longing for spring’s return.
We ate lots of pie – hence the empty pie pan, John and I were reunited with little Precious, our temporary dog earlier this year. She was so excited to see us. It was seriously the cutest thing ever. We had to make a stop to visit my BFF and her family, which led to a few after dinner beverages; guess which drink isn’t mine. As if I hadn’t had enough greasy foods, when we returned from Virginia, I somehow managed to eat a calzone filled with spicy chicken and spinach…so good. Last night I decided to wind down with a little hot toddy – best decision yet.
Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!
