Successful weekend of frolicking. Seriously. I headed to Atlanta Thursday afternoon and spent the night. I’m sure I’ve mentioned it here but in case I haven’t mentioned it, my BFF is getting married next year so I headed to Atlanta, along with her mom and sister, to attend a bridal showcase where there were tastings of food and drinks among other things. While in Atlanta, naturally we had to have a little brunch and do some galavanting around the city for a bit. The rest of the weekend was pretty cool and started off with a gift of six pounds of peaches!

With six pounds of peaches, I ate one (obviously), baked one with a little whiskey and Sunday evening I made a peach cobbler! I met up with a girlfriend Saturday morning for a little beignet breakfast. Seriously the best idea I’ve had all weekend. John and I attended an event at the Chattanooga Zoo Saturday called Q & Brew at the Zoo. There were BBQ tastings (I think I enjoyed tasting the different barbecue sauces more than anything else), beer, bluegrass music and we got a chance to walk around the zoo. My mission to the zoo was complete after getting a chance to see a snow leopard!
Have a great Monday.
