Over the weekend I had a chance to attend the 2012 Atlanta Food & Wine Festival. I’ve always read about these fancy food festivals in magazines and finally I was able to attend. I didn’t get a chance to attend any of the classes offered but the tasting tents were so much fun and there was definitely more than enough food and drink. I’m exhausted just thinking about it.
my best friend trying our first dish: Russian chicken salad |
Russian chicken salad and fried chicken livers |
I’ve never really been a fan of chicken salad (expect for the chicken salad sandwich at Empire State South) and this was no different. It was too mayonnaise-like for me and just didn’t sit well. Same for the chicken liver. I could barely get one down…the texture just not my thing but I felt like I had to try it since I was amongst foodies.
A couple of my favorites:
Fried chicken from Cardamom Hill – so good! |
Whiskey slushy made with American Spirit Whiskey |
Delicious couscous with a spicy chicken kabob from One Hot Mama |
This was a fantastic food adventure.
