Sunday Scones

This weekend consisted of many things including baking scones. Yes, I made homemade scones. I was watching Barefoot Contessa one day and she made strawberry scones. She made them look so easy, I figured…let’s give it a shot. I’m generally not a baker; I make too much of a mess trying and…well, I guess that’s the only reason. Oh, and I have a fear of icing cakes and cupcakes. They never turn out the way I imagined. Moving on, I baked blueberry scones with a lemon glaze and they were inspired by this recipe by Tyler Florence.

The only thing I did differently was sprinkling a little brown sugar on top before baking them.
