Feature Friday will be a monthly post (obviously it will post on a Friday) where I’ll be featuring either a business, person, restaurant, etc. I’ll share photos of the business and include 5 questions that the owner, manager or employee will have to answer – questions are the same for every person. To kick off this series, I’m excited to have my friend and business owner, Sarah Miller of Sugar Pie!

Sarah, like me, is not a native Chattanoogan. We both moved here from larger cities and have fallen in love with Chattanooga since moving here. Hailing from Detroit, Sarah arrived in Chattanooga with a goal of making pies and that’s exactly what she’s doing – and doing it quite well! Always being responsible for making pies at family functions, it wasn’t long before Sarah realized she was actually on to something. So in Winter of 2012, Sugar Pie was born!
Sugar Pie offers a variety of pies from sweet to savory and big to small. Just so you’re hip to the lingo, smaller pies are called wee pies and they’re super cute. If you’re into food on a stick, the “lolli-pie” will be just up your alley – great for kids too! Did I mention she has berry pies, custard pies and cream pies (and much more)? There’s a strawberry cream pie she made recently that I have yet to try! Definitely on my to-do list for the summer.
