This weekend was fun, hot, scary, busy and tiring. Yes. All of those things. I love a good entertaining weekend but this weekend really ended on an interesting note…and I use the word interesting very loosely. At any rate, Friday we had a chance to attend the opening of a new tattoo studio (Main Line Ink) and it was pretty awesome – more photos on the opening tomorrow. I went to Knoxville Saturday morning and attended my first UGA/Tennessee game. This was the hot portion of my weekend. Oh my goodness it was hot. The sun was out with a vengeance. The game was very intense to put it nicely but lots of fun.
On the way to Knoxville, I finally cracked open the October issue of Bon Appétit and thoroughly enjoyed the write up on QuestLove. After the tattoo party, John and I made a quick stop at the 3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival to see our friends Rusty and Natalie of…you guessed it Rusty’s Nutz. Clever, right? Also, if you can see behind me in the photo, you’ll see that there’s a sign that says ‘the most delicious apple cider…’ and it is. I couldn’t convince Natalie to tell me her secret weapon but she did let me taste for myself and it’s pretty tasty. I told her all we needed was a little whiskey to take it to the next level but it was a family event. Booo. Our weekend ended by nursing a sick dog. Remember the dog we’ve been sitting for since like April? My parents’ dog? Well, she’s still here and we had quite the scare and ended up in the vet emergency room Sunday morning.
To say that this weekend was eventful would be an understatement. Whew!
Happy Monday!
