The Weekend

If I could sum up this past weekend (and week) in one word, it would be: fulfilling.  If I could add another word, just to be obnoxious…fun.  Boyfriend’s birthday was Friday so we had to do a little celebrating and cake eating.  Leave it to me to sneak around the morning of to try to put up a “happy birthday” banner.  Saturday morning we headed to Nashville to see friends and eat, drink and frolic.

My love for breakfast foods spans through different cities so we had to stop at Nashville landmark, Pancake Pantry.  There was a line, but luckily, we were warned.  Across the street is a super cute bookstore; the smell of old books oddly made me happy.  We quickly ran into a boutique that had all kinds of knick-knacks and cute clothing. Stopping by the Parthenon was a must-do on my list and so was Prince’s Hot Chicken.  We went to Prince’s at 2am so it was busy but not unbearable.  We went with mild-spiced chicken but I think I may be ready to graduate to medium next time I’m in Nashville.  Good times.
