Oven-Fried Ravioli

Truthfully, I prepared this deliciousness a long time ago. But if you read my 2019 recap, you know that John and I are having a baby and that plus making moves on the business front, has made the blog take a backseat. It’s not what I wanted but it’s what needed to happen. I’m happy to say, I’m back – at least for now. So on my semi-debut, it’s time for oven-fried ravioli.

I love pasta and one of my favorites is ravioli even though it’s not something I eat often. There’s just something about these little pillows of goodness filled with meat, cheese or veggies. I want to clear here, I did not make this ravioli from scratch. This is supposed to be an easy dish that you can whip up at any time. In order to do that, I went with a frozen meat-filled ravioli. You can do whatever you want.

This oven-fried ravioli can be an awesome party appetizer or you could serve it as a main dish – the choice is yours. I think they make yummy appetizers because they’re easy and guests can just pick them up and keep it moving.

Now, alternatively, to throwing these in the oven, you can certainly fry them. Frying them will get them a beautiful golden brown color and you’ll serve them much quicker. The oven-fried way may not necessarily give you a deep brown color but they’ll be crisp and not greasy.

My favorite part about the ravioli was getting to dip it in the marinara sauce. Isn’t dipping always the best?
