Television Guilty Pleasures

So I’m going to have a transparent moment today on the blog. I talk with my friends about the crazy things that I watch and we try not to judge each other. Today, I’m going to let you in on a few of my television-watching secrets. Remember, my blog is a judgement free zone so…yeah, let’s keep that in mind.

Life has been so crazy busy lately, so when I have the chance to sit and watch some good and some mindless television, I jump on the chance because, why not. Lately I’ve been into American Crime Story: OJ Simpson and I’m still loving The Good Wife (so sad it’s ending soon). But here’s a glimpse into the other weird/random things I’m into:

The Real Housewives Franchise

OK listen, I don’t watch ALL of them but since this little phenomenon started however many years ago, I think it’s been interesting to see how the franchise has grown and how some of the women have changed. My favorite Housewives story is, of course, Bethenny Frankel (New York series) because she made it big from a skinnygirl margarita. If I could build an empire from liquor, trust me, I’d be all over it.

Revisiting Beverly Hills, 90210

Beverly Hills 90210 was a huge part of my teenage life. My friends and I used to record episodes on our VCR’s (so old) and trade them during lunch. Now, thanks to Hulu, I’m revisiting the series and I’m finding it quite hilarious.

Married at First Sight

I don’t know. I find this show interesting. Participants are so “ready” for love that they’ll marry a complete stranger and at the end of six weeks, they have to decide if they’ll remain married or get a divorce. The show is in it’s third season and I’m still hooked. I find it fascinating.

Broad City

I mean, these girls are crazy and I love them. Not much more to say – they make me laugh.

Teen Mom

This is the show I feel like I’d get the most judgy looks from. When I say I like to watch mindless television, this is what I mean. Now let me be specific, I didn’t follow all of the Teen Mom seasons. The first two are the only ones I really invested brainpower into. Currently I’m watching Teen Mom OG (haha that sounds so stupid) because I’m still in disbelief of how Farrah speaks to her parents. It’s crazy to watch.
