The Weekend

This weekend was full of art, friends and work. Not going into the office work but “side hustle” work – I’ll explain in a moment. Friday, John and I went to a friend’s new art show and it was beautiful. If we could have afforded some of his work we definitely would have made a purchase. So much fun. Afterwards, we treated ourselves (along with friends) to some delicious ramen from Two Ten Jack. Saturday morning, I cooked a bit then hunkered down at a local coffee shop to get some stuff done. The rest of the weekend, I pretty much stayed put at home.

So, the reason why I spent most of my Saturday at a coffee shop was because of the Brunch Collective. Yes, I know you’ve never heard of it. It’s new. It’s something I’ve been talking about launching since before summer ended and now the time has come. Eeek! So what is the Brunch Collective? It’s a quarterly brunch series for creative women entrepreneurs. New entrepreneurs, seasoned entrepreneurs and those who want to be entrepreneurs. Really…it’s for everyone! The goal with this new series is to encourage and empower dreamers to eventually become biz owners and we’ll do this over brunch, of course.

The first event will take place in December (more details coming soon). Each one will feature a guest bruncher who will speak on something entrepreneurial. Next week I’ll announce more details about the first brunch. In the meantime, visit the website to sign up to be notified when tickets go on sale. Also, we’re getting social – follow us on Instagram (@Brunch_Co), Twitter (@Brunch_Co) and Facebook (Brunch Collective). Here goes nothing!

Other stuff this weekend:

Happy Monday!
