The Weekend

Busy, hot and full of food would be how I would describe this weekend.  Heard a little music on Friday and met one of my blog readers, which was awesome!  After an almost 2 hour wait at a new restaurant, John and I (along with a few friends) opted for chips and queso at a nearby Mexican restaurant. Saturday was supposed to be full of cleaning and organizing but I took a break to eat, drink and frolic with my friend Lisa. Totally unplanned but definitely fun.  Brunch with mimosas and bloody Mary’s are always a good idea on a Saturday morning.  Sunday, John and I frolicked to the Chattanooga Market for our regular antics but also because it was the street food festival!  It was so hot on Sunday so we didn’t stay too long but we definitely stayed long enough to grab a sandwich, peruse through some gorgeous floral bouquets and grab some donuts from one of my new obsessions: Monkey Town Donuts.

We ended the weekend with a not so quiet dinner (everyone in the restaurant was preoccupied with watching the World Cup).  We also found a little time on Sunday to watch a movie; Sunday was seriously an eat, drink, frolic day and despite the heat, I loved it!  It’s going to be a busy week!
