This was the first weekend that I didn’t have any obligations to meet with someone, attend a wedding or anything else and it was fantastic.  I actually sat on my couch on Saturday and it felt really nice.  Friday evening, I did meet up with a couple of bloggers and writers for a “burger bash” at Tremont Tavern, which was great.  Burger meetings are meetings I don’t mind attending on the weekend.  The rest of the weekend consisted of a trip to Lowe’s to purchase some supplies for an easy DIY project I started and finished this weekend, fun stuff. I even found a little time to frolic over to Hobby Lobby to purchase some fabric…extra stuff for photo props.  I’m looking forward to this week – the weather is supposed to be nice and of course, it’ll be a long weekend with Memorial Day on Monday, yay!

How can I forget, I made a cayenne simple syrup on Saturday – sounds like an oxymoron.  Details on what I’m using that for later.  John bought me a book about handheld pies and I’m super-excited to flip through and see what I can make.  Hope you had a fantastic weekend.
